LEARN BY DOING
Gateway’s high school program is designed to provide students with the atmosphere and advantages of a small, yet Biblically grounded, college preparatory experience. Through the completion of dual enrollment classes, our students will learn how to be successful on a college campus, all while under the watchful eye of our Gateway staff. Our teachers will journey with our students as they navigate the complex and demanding subject matter of college courses. Their one-on-one academic coaching will help students tailor their elective credits to their individualized interests and future degree tracks. Our teachers’ presence also provides the opportunity for them to address the various points-of-view that students will encounter while tackling the tough questions that arise from a conservative, Biblical perspective. By stressing academic challenge, intellectual development, creative problem solving and critical thinking through our model for honors and dual enrollment classes, vision is refined and a foundation is laid for the call God has placed on each of our students to impact their world.
BEYOND THE BOOKS
A top-notch education is more than just good grades. At Gateway, we seek to educate the whole child – intellectually, socially, and spiritually – as well as provide a variety of leadership opportunities. We work to guide our students to become leaders who stand on the solid foundation of God’s Word. Leaders who use their unique talents, spiritual gifts and academic abilities to influence society in a positive manner. Leaders that can thrive in a society that is constantly changing and constantly advancing through new technologies. Leaders that innovate and solve problems with compassion and empathy that can only be attained through an active relationship with Jesus Christ. Simply put, it is our deepest desire for our students to leave Gateway Academy with the intellectual, spiritual, and personal capability to use their influence and opportunities to make the world more as God intends it to be.
Making sure that the proper steps are taken towards college admissions is a team effort – the student, the family and the school. Gateway’s college counseling program, in partnership with Dr. Cathy Ritcher of Collegiate Prep Consulting, provides the personal attention and continuous guidance needed to navigate such a confusing and competitive process. We work with our students and families to identify their “Best Fit”. It could be a large university or a top-notch specialty college, a Christian university or a local secondary school. Whatever it is, it’s your student’s choice – and we are here to help. Spending time with students and families on an individual basis, encouraging them to consider the characteristics and qualities that are most important to them, is the hallmark of college counseling at Gateway. We want to help our students find the environment that is most conducive to their continued academic growth and maturity – the perfect college or university that will allow them to maximize their considerable potential and attain their future goals.

What Parents are Saying
I am so thankful for the challenging yet developmentally appropriate academics that Gateway provides my daughter. The faith based philosophy and loving environment is unlike any other school I have seen. I believe Gateway is setting my daughter up for the best future.
– Jess Foy
I appreciate all that the staff at Gateway Academy have done to welcome my daughters and make them feel at home. They have made comments about how friendly the other students are at Gateway from the very first day they attended. The teachers were all wonderful about getting them adjusted and caught up in their classes. The students at Gateway were very warm and welcoming to the “new kids.”
– Kevin Wells
Gateway means a tremendous amount to my tiny family of three. It means I can drop my boys at school, and head off to work, knowing they are loved big, safe, and surrounded by edifying people who honestly live to grow them closer to God.
